Pang Cheuk Ying, Cherry, is a student artist in Hong Kong, known for her installation that is made from colorful plastic straws.The uniqueness of her works is to cut colorful plastic straws into small pieces. Then, use the iron and hot air gun to let it melt to combine as a toy.

 

In the study period, she visited numerous art galleries, for example, “What Do You Want For Tomorrow”, “Fo Tan Open Studios”. From that, she is influenced by well-known artists such as Phoebe Ching Ying Man, Wong Lai Ching Fiona, and Wang Gong Xin. They inspired more possibilities of installation art. Moreover, she learned sculpture, installation art, and painting in this institute. She is interested in going further with sculpture and installation.

 

In the future, she will continue to develop her use of materials.
