Tsui Po Wa, he born in China.He immigrated to Hong Kong when he was four years old. Tsui graduated from Foundation Diploma-Design and Higher-Diploma Visual Arts and Culture.

 

He enjoys the artistic creation.The mediums including the painting, installation, digital media, sound, and sculpture. The reason for creating artwork inspired by an exhibition. Before Tsui joined Higher-Diploma, he visited an exhibition. The theme of the exhibition is Shahzia Sikander: Apparatus of Power, the exhibition was about the creation of Shahzia Sikander in Hong Kong Centre. Shahzia Sikander is the first artist he knew.

 

In the beginning, he started with painting. About the scale of the paintings variable which inspired by Shahzia Sikander. Shahzia Sikander used the large-scale to paint the Indo-Persian miniature painting. This could break the traditional understanding of paintings from the audience’s aspect.

 

Tsui keeps creating artwork. “My copy in the life” which his first installation o.He wanted to understand about hands. Therefore, he used tapes to mold hand and found out the limitation of hand.

 

After that, he started to combine painting and installation together. “The social, which being dangerous” which form by 5 paintings with sculpture. The concept is about Hong Kong society and happenings in the world. Recently, his creation of the topic is going to religion - Christianity. The inspirations are from his understandings, own experience and influence from this religion.

 

 

瞿寶華出生於中國，四歲時遷移到香港定居。他畢業於設計基礎文憑和視覺藝術與文化高級文憑。他鍾情於藝術創作，以多種媒介表達自己對世界的控訴，藝術類型包括繪畫、數碼媒體、裝置藝術、聲音和雕塑。

 

為甚麼他鍾情於藝術創作？開始的原因來自一個展覽，在就讀高級文憑前，曾經來到香港中心參觀舉辦的「莎茲亞·西坎達︰意象演義」。展覽會上談及莎茲亞·西坎達的藝術生涯，這是他第一個由自己親身體會的藝術家。

 

起初，主要是繪畫創作，尺寸不受限制。敢於挑戰柜架是受到莎茲亞·西坎達的創作風格所啟發，她令印度波斯纖畫脱離了大眾所認知的領域。

 

他沒有停止創作，"My copy in the life"是他第一次嘗試以裝置藝術的形式去表現的作品，使用膠紙包裹手掌，並且做出模組從中了解到其局限之處。

 

 

自此，他開始將繪畫和裝置藝術組合在一起，"The social, which being dangerous"是以五個塑膠彩畫加上雕塑而成的作品，它談及香港社會的現象，不只如此，這些也牽涉到世界。最近，開始創作關於基督教的作品，受信仰影響，他以自身的經歷表達對基督教的見解。
