Whit Cheng Hoi Ching

Cheng Hoi Ching mainly focuses on painting and try to merge the mediums like ink, Xuan paper, cloth and acrylic sheet. Cheng explores create possibilities in the artwork through transparent mediums.

 

Cheng is a pessimistic-optimist. There is a tone of pessimism in her words, but it doesn’t mean is a negative attitude. Due to fateful coincidence, she got to know Buddhism which changed her outlook on life and attitude. Religion becomes an indispensable part of her life. She was edified by Buddhism and Chinese culture.The self-study of scriptures, chant and calligraphy became of her everyday life.Her artwork inspiration came from Buddhism stories and ideology.She wants to deliver the messages and take the opportunities to explore the relationship between universe, nature and spirituality. Her styles included realistic, lyric and creating the artistic conception of abstract ink painting which builds up the unreal and mystic of space.

 

 

鄭皚晴主要以繪畫為主,並嘗試融合不同媒介,比如水墨、宣紙、布料和亞克力膠板,採用透光素材來探索更多可能性。

 

鄭某是一個悲觀的樂觀主義者,話語中帶著悲觀的調子,這並不意味著是消極。在機緣巧合之下接觸了佛教,這一切將改變了她的人生觀和態度,宗教成為生命不可缺少的一部分。深受佛學和中國文化的薰陶,研究經文、誦經及自習書法成為了日常。創作靈感來源以佛學故事和思想作為基礎,用藝術形式表達個中道理,也藉此探索宇宙、自然和靈性的關係。作品風格以寫實、抒情、抽象水墨的意境作為主調,營造一個虛幻和玄思的空間。
